Dental Health-Alcohol and Tobacco Affect Our Teeth |
|
The Use of Tobacco and Drinks Containing Alcohol Can Complicate Dental Problems.
Tobacco stains the teeth and increases the risk of gum disease and tooth loss. Drinks containing alcohol, and the mixers used with them, often contain lots of sugar, increasing the risk of tooth decay. Studies have also shown that drinking alcohol and smoking or chewing tobacco are also associated with an increased risk of developing mouth cancer.
